Angela Flood has more than 25 years of experience in senior communications and policy positions spanning the public, private and non-profit sectors. She joined Cove Strategies as a principal in 2015 and advises clients on strategic communications and media relations, coalitions and strategic partnerships and public policy initiatives.
Previously, beginning in 2011, Angela led the development, coordination and implementation of communications strategies as Communications Secretary for the Archdiocese of Washington with a focus on new and diverse platforms. She oversaw the media and public relations, digital media, and multimedia production operations, as well as Carroll Publishing, which produces the Catholic Standard and El Pregonero newspapers.
In 2005, Angela joined DCI Group, an independent public affairs firm, as a vice president where she provided strategic government affairs counsel to clients in a variety of industries.
As Special Assistant to the President and Deputy Director of Political Affairs from 2003-2005, Angela served as a senior political advisor to President George W. Bush through his re-election. She worked directly with the Office of Presidential Personnel to assess available positions throughout the federal government and recommended candidates to the President for all part- and full-time political appointments.
Angela began her career on Capitol Hill where she served for nearly 15 years. Her positions included chief of staff, press secretary and communications director for U.S. Representative Mark Souder (R-IN), and she held legislative and policy positions for U.S. Senator Dan Coats (R-IN).
An Indiana native, Angela is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame.
